NEW PARTNERSHIP

Two local optometrists form partnership to offer personalized eye care to Sumner County residents

Hendersonville, Tennessee | September 26, 2019

Optometrist Eric Stamper, O.D. welcomed Jennifer Uhl, O.D. as a partner to his practice when the two signed a partnership agreement September 20th to share ownership of Vision Source of Hendersonville PLLC, which is likely the largest private optometry practice in the county.

Drs. Uhl and Stamper have spent a combined 25 years providing eyecare in their respective Hendersonville private practices and now, along with their associate doctor Emily Burgon, O.D., they plan to continue differentiating themselves from the increasingly commercialized world of eye care by providing more personalized care and innovative and high-quality products, says Dr. Stamper. Vision Source of Hendersonville will continue operating in its same 11-year location on Main Street in the same building as the Hendersonville Area Chamber of Commerce.

In 2008 Dr. Stamper opened Vision Source of Hendersonville, where Dr. Stamper has been the sole doctor and owner until two years ago. Now the practice has grown to two partner doctors and an associate doctor and has recently been named a “TCPI Exemplary Practice” by Medicare and won 2019 Best Eye Care Practice in the Main Street Awards.

Dr. Stamper is a Hendersonville native and says he loves practicing in this community that still feels like a small town. He says he loves seeing the same people as patients that he also sees at the store, in restaurants, and at his children’s schools and activities. He and his wife Cristin have two young boys. He also enjoys meeting all the new people moving to the area and caring for their eyes whether it be glasses, contacts, removing metallic foreign bodies or treating chronic or acute eye disease. Dr. Stamper is passionate about providing a place where people in his hometown can continue to get quality, personalized eye care.

Dr. Uhl had been an associate at Orgain Family Vision for more than a decade prior to joining Vision Source of Hendersonville in October 2018. She also enjoys caring for the vision and eye health of the friends and families she has come to know through her deep community involvement, which includes many years as President of the Board of Trustees for Pope John Paul II High School, where both her daughters have attended school. She has been an active board member for many other local charitable organizations and is very involved with her church, St. John Vianney. Her husband, Dr. Mark Uhl, is a gastroenterologist with Sumner Medical Group.

Dr. Stamper says he is very excited for Dr. Uhl to join him because they share similar beliefs about high quality patient care and customer service. Plus the partnership gives them the shared resources to offer a more customer-focused experience as well as additional services and products.

New and established patients can schedule an appointment with Dr. Uhl or Dr. Stamper directly through their online system at www.vsh.vision/schedule or by calling their office at 615-824-4246.
